Founded in 1996, we are a not-for-profit community-based organisation that works with police, the media and the public to solve, reduce and prevent crime. Governed by a volunteer Board of Territorians, we deliver a range of awareness and crime prevention initiatives of specific concern to local communities, including property and personal safety, vehicle theft and cyber safety.
We encourage people to be alert and engaged participants in their community and we are proud to provide a secure way for information about illegal activity and unsolved crimes to be shared through our toll-free hotline and a website that guarantees anonymity with the option of a reward.
Even though we are an independent charity, we work with police and the community for a safer Territory.
Our Board is governed by volunteers that bring significant experience and valued skills to Crime Stoppers NT.
